FRANKENSTEIN : A SELFISH SMALL MINDED GOD
Interpretation by Tejah Hossanah
Victor Frankenstein, a fool with high hopes and small expectations. Victor Frankenstein longed for greatness, he was looking for a crack to an unexplainable code. He wanted to create life, and while doing so he unleashed hell into his personal dimension. A soul yearning for more, yet a human acting so careless and inconsiderate. Why would a human want to play God? Why take on a responsibility that you don't understand. Victor created a lifeless being. Sacrificed his time, and health to create a lifeless being only to then ABANDON his creation. The beauty he once saw in his creation disappeared as soon as the project was finished. Why bring something into this evil world just to abandon it? No rules, no lessons. Victor left his creation to fend for himself, and he didn't expect his creation to seek revenge? Victor made it no secret that he was disgusted by his creation, and only constantly continued to belittle him with his words. His creation was unordinary, Victor didn't think twice about the way it would be disregarded and feared by humanity. The unnecessary hurt and pain "monster" experienced was the consequences of Victors selfish actions. Victor only thought outside the box once he was personally affected. He thought he could continue living life peacefully. And while being so selfish and small minded he dragged innocent bystanders oblivious to the situation right down with him. It wasn't until he had nothing left that he "woke up". And him waking up was still a selfish outcome. If Victor thought through the possible outcomes of creating a lifeless being he could've avoided all of the pain he felt. All he had to do was think. Victor Frankenstein someone so smart, yet so small minded. He was able to question things, yet to what degree? In all truthfulness Victor Frankenstein only thought of himself, and that's what truly sealed his fate. Victor was doomed the moment he decided to play God.

Amazing interpretation on this book one of my favourite #NeedMoree
ReplyDeleteGood
ReplyDeleteThe comparison to god was on point. A good creator would think through his creations rather thn just the process of making something great.

ReplyDeleteGood piece 👏🏾 I think a lot of ppl can even relate in the sense that sometimes we take on a project too big/complicated for our own good and that ofc comes with consequences if it hasn’t been properly thought through, prepared for or seen through to the end.
